| 12:16 yesterday | KDE | Commit by trueg :: r1105171 k3b/trunk/extragear/multimedia/k3b/libk3b/ (5 files in 2 dirs): Centralized the calculation of the writing speed multiplicator. Also fixed handling of sligh variances in speed values as reported by some drives. | # |
| 12:15 yesterday | KDE | Commit by trueg :: r1105170 k3b/trunk/extragear/multimedia/k3b/libk3b/projects/datacd/k3bdatajob.cpp: Fixed info messages about growing an ISO fs. | # |
| 11:47 Thursday | KDE | Commit by trueg :: r1104730 runtime/trunk/KDE/kdebase/runtime/nepomuk/strigibackend/ (4 files): We now do most of the work in the strigi service directly. Thus, the index reader is not used at all anymore. | # |
| 11:38 Thursday | KDE | Commit by trueg :: r1104727 runtime/trunk/ (16 files in 3 dirs): - Now that the filewatch service uses inotify we do not need the filesystemwatcher anymore. We also do not do a full update every N minutes anymore. Thus, less io usage.
- We have a new list of default exclude filters inspired by the one from tracker.
- Removed all usage of libstreamanalyzer for anything but the actual indexing. This fixes some problems with missed and reindexed files.
- New cleanup query which removes all files from the Nepomuk DB which match one of the exclude filter.
- New cleanup query which removes legacy Xesam data and thus triggers a reindex for those files.

| 11:22 Thursday | KDE | Commit by trueg :: r1104722 runtime/trunk/KDE/kdebase/runtime/nepomuk/interfaces/org.kde.nepomuk.FileWatch.xml: new interface description for the filewatch service | # |
| 11:21 Thursday | KDE | Commit by trueg :: r1104721 runtime/trunk/KDE/kdebase/runtime/nepomuk/ (4 files in 2 dirs): - Filewatch service integration: watch mounted media for file operations.
- New DBus method which returns a list of all mount paths that are indexed. This will be used by the strigi service.

| 11:17 Thursday | KDE | Commit by trueg :: r1104720 runtime/trunk/KDE/kdebase/runtime/nepomuk/services/filewatch/ (7 files): It is about time I commit this to trunk: For a long time I have not been using inotify since the default user watch limit was too low on most systems. With new kernels and fsnotify or a higher user watch limit (as already done by most distris) the limit should be no problem.
However, with a lot of subfolders simply installing all the watches can take a long time (up to 10 minutes on my system with all the KDE code trees). Thus, the IO priority is also lowered now. We need to watch each an every folder separately since we need to catch file moves.
With this commit the biggest part of use cases should be covered. Since we do not watch the whole folder tree (only the home dir + all the strigi index folders) we will never be able to update an annotation on a moved file in /tmp or /var or whatever the user might need.
The next commit will adjust the strigi service to the new filewatch. | # |
| 16:31 Tuesday | KDE | Commit by trueg :: r1104063 runtime/trunk/KDE/kdebase/runtime/nepomuk/services/queryservice/queryservice.cpp: No need for an override anymore. The service now uses the ResourceManager model by default. | # |
