There's a firmware bug which causes control reads to fail on some USB controllers (incuding VMware's virtual controller). Work around this by making these failures non-fatal in the software.

Port nearly all of rwand.ko to userspace, as a new rwd daemon. This breaks compatibility with the old rwd daemon, and it isn't quite usable yet. (There's no way to update the framebuffer). The major functionality this adds over the old rwd is support for model-intrinsic parameters, and support for cold-start.

rwand.ko is buggy and annoying to compile. Adding a simple userspace driver for the rwand. It isn't nearly as featureful as the kernelspace driver, and it can't yet start the rwand on its own. Currently you can give the wand a push to get it started manually, then write binary frames to the daemon's stdin.
